Reafirmamos a tradi\u00e7\u00e3o oral que &#8211; ao contr\u00e1rio do racismo e machismo da hist\u00f3ria e dos livros &#8211; define esta guerreira como hero\u00edna.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">N\u00e3o se sabe ao certo sua data e local de origem de nascimento, mas em vida Dandara e sua fam\u00edlia tornaram-se resist\u00eancia ao resgatar escravas\/os &#8211; o que seria um papel masculino &#8211; e acolher no Quilombo dos Palmares, localizado na capitania de Pernambuco e hoje abrange Pernambuco e Alagoas. Fez desta comunidade, uma di\u00e1spora africana lutando incessantemente pela liberdade de seu povo e demonstrou sua forte lideran\u00e7a ao ser contra a decis\u00e3o do acordo de paz com os portugueses, o que levou a ascens\u00e3o de seu marido \u00e0 posi\u00e7\u00e3o de l\u00edder do quilombo e os colocou em guerra.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Segundo diversas fontes e a mem\u00f3ria popular conta, Dandara suicidou-se, atirando-se em um precip\u00edcio, depois de ter sua fam\u00edlia dizimada. Mulher forte lutou e escolheu a morte mantendo vivos seus ideias ao inv\u00e9s do sistema serviu e escravocrata, em 1694.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Dandara, a lenda viva em nossa hist\u00f3ria, foi inclu\u00edda desde 2016, no calend\u00e1rio oficial estadual do Rio de Janeiro.
